Hi! My name is Sandy and I was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Shortly after graduating college in San Diego, I decided to move to Denver because I wanted to live somewhere with more trees. I had never visited prior to moving but I figured that I love hiking, camping, snowboarding, etc. so how could I not like Colorado? (Turns out there’s a thin line between bravery and foolishness that can be easily overlooked as as ambitious 20-something year old.) Luckily things worked out since I still live in Denver over a decade and a half later.

Professionally, I had all the right intentions to pursue my Masters in Social Work to provide animal-assisted therapy for the underserved. However, the political climate changed and working in non-profits seemed like too big of a risk to take.

I continued my work as an executive assistant and transitioned from working for the state government to working in private sector, namely in the tech space, where I feel like I have finally found my place.

My future ambitions include creating some sort of community as a support system for people with mental illnesses as a homage to my original career intentions.
